Excellent interview that makes a lot of meaningful and concrete points -- and big congrats to Christian! Looking forward to seeing SOVEREIGN on July 11th.

TBH this is why I prefer writing, music, and art that doesn’t need a team to pull off.

There is definitely a solo filmmaking path to pursue that many would gravitate too for presumably a similar reason.

Maybe short social media videos. It's pretty hard to make a serious film on your own, at minimum you need actors and someone to hold a boom mic.

There is a long history of experimental and avant garde filmmakers that create films solo, as a medium for art expression, although most are non-fiction.

Sounds like he needed to get the rights to the story and the money to hire some name players. I don't know how much this film cost to make, but for an independent film, I would guess a pretty penny. I would have to know more than is in the trailer to want to watch it. Your recommendation is strong, but my time is limited.

This made me REALLY want to see this film! (I also always appreciate when directors are quick to acknowledge the meaningful contributions of others on their team) 😊
