These are all great. My recs are practical producer tips I learned from making my first short this week: In-person communication is best. Don't be afraid to ask questions (even about set lingo!). Building a crew means finding the balance between talent/skill and kindness/affordability/and whatever good vibes you want to have on set. Never underestimate the power of good catering/crafty.
Dream Baby Dream sounds good. A female Uncut Gems is exactly the right idea! To this list of resources I would add my book, Yes You Can - How to Make a Movie for Almost No Money.
Hi Courtney, I don't agree with the first part but am intrigued by the second part. Some of the people I admire most in the industry are those who can make a feature film for almost nothing.
I think this post like the post where you have a selected substacker, take over for a day, is a good idea. With this many different ideas and references, one is bound to find something that they can latch onto. I just can't believe that you actually have read or watched all these things and still have time to make your own movies.

It’s meant to be encouraging. But I hear you!
Did you study low budget filmmaking? Where did you shoot your films?
I did not go to film school. I learned by doing. I shot my three features in LA.
Thanks for sharing & imparting your wisdom!
