where you gonna go when the wind blows?

As I’ve mentioned, I am compiling a master list of good ideas to improve the art, business, industry, culture, and experience of cinema.

I have published some of them before as parts of a larger list. Like this one below from August 2023. I am publishing them again as one-offs and online only (don’t want to clog your inbox after all!) so I can more easily link to the specific idea. I think I will do it only on Sundays until I have caught up.

Visiting Artist Residency Database & Placement Agency

Similar to the Artist Retreat Initiative, would be an org that help find the appropriate pairings for the creative community across the global. Surely schools, cities, countries, and cultural organizations across the globe would like to have artists from all over come and share their expertise with the locals. I know there are tons of artists that would love the opportunity to travel and be exposed to regions and communities all over too. If that is not a formula for win/win, what is? This too could be expanded for all sorts of conferences and festivals. I’ve been privileged to travel the world giving talks, but I am relatively known and easy to find. I suspect there are those out there that can offer an even more unique perspective and inspiration, but need help being recognized.
